Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device. They are widely used to make websites work, remember your preferences, and provide analytics information.

2. Cookies We Use

NoParrot uses very few cookies. Here is the complete list:

Supabase Authentication (Local Storage)

When you log in, Supabase (our authentication provider) stores authentication tokens in your browser's localStorage to keep you signed in. This is strictly necessary for the service to function — it is not used for tracking or advertising. Note: localStorage data is not sent to our servers with every request (unlike cookies) and never leaves your browser except when explicitly used by the application.

  • Purpose: Authentication and session management
  • Storage: Browser localStorage (not a cookie)
  • Duration: Until you log out or the token expires
  • Can be disabled: No — required for login

Cookie Consent Preference (Local Storage)

We store your cookie consent choice in your browser's localStorage. This is technically not a cookie — it is a local key-value pair that never leaves your device and is not sent to our servers.

Stripe Cookies (Payment)

When you proceed to checkout or manage your subscription, Stripe may set cookies for fraud prevention and payment processing. These cookies are only set during the payment flow, not during normal use of the service.

  • Purpose: Payment fraud prevention and processing
  • Duration: Varies (set by Stripe)
  • Can be disabled: These cookies are only set when you actively proceed to Stripe checkout or subscription management. They are not set during normal use of the service.

3. Cookies We Don't Use

To be clear about what we don't do:

  • No advertising cookies — we do not run ads and do not use ad tracking.
  • No tracking cookies — we do not track you across websites.
  • No analytics cookies — we use Plausible Analytics, which is fully cookieless. It collects no personal data and sets no cookies whatsoever.
  • No social media cookies — we do not embed social media widgets that set cookies.

4. Third-Party Cookies

The only third-party cookies on NoParrot come from Stripe during the checkout process. Stripe's cookies are used solely for payment security and fraud detection. You can learn more in Stripe's Privacy Policy.

5. How to Control Cookies

  • Cookie banner — use our cookie banner to record your preference regarding non-essential cookies. Stripe cookies are only set when you initiate a payment flow.
  • Browser settings — most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Consult your browser's help documentation for instructions.
  • Note: Clearing Supabase authentication data from localStorage will sign you out of NoParrot.
